Vowels

(after Rimbaud, who got it wrong)

His mother’s too-red lipstick
against the green, green grass middle school lawn,
and I could faintly hear “purple mountains majesty,”
orange snack mix dust on his lips
around a borrowed tenor sax. He plays the blues.

so I really enjoy the imagery you create with the different colors within the simple school lawn setting. I also like how you have the long, descriptive lines and end with a short but powerful line of he is doing.
